From her first few sentences: "For the first thirty years of my life, I live as a virtual slave. I was a bird in a cage; a second-class citizen who had to watch what I said even to my close friends. Under Islamic law I had to live in a gender-segregated environment and always be aware that the legal and social penalty for 'sin' could end my life. We in our western civilization take these liberties for granted - let us remember the people over the years, decades and centuries that fought and died to keep us FREE. And Islam - the fight is to enslave people into a system that one can't leave. or question. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" the prophet who was above his own laws, and we know the higher up the chain of command the more one is freed from the constraints of the law applying to oneself. Imams to point their accusing finger of execution, stonings and beatings to those lower in society - women mainly. Years ago, when we began fighting the Al Quada in Afghanistan, a woman reporter had video of the Muslim men executing blue burka clad women kneeling in a soccer stadium that the UN had built. My heart bled for those poor women. I grieved and prayed that one day they could have the freedoms I have. We have no information on how these women are living now. No news teams to show some good that has come from a long hard war. To know that women couldn't leave the house without a family male escort, educated women, widows, begging in the streets because they weren't allowed to work any longer. The whole country shut down in the worst barbaric way - then spreading the Islamic war to us the FREE WORLD. All for the price of a plane ticket to the USA and points West. I thank Ms. Darwish for her exceptionally brave story, her insight, & for her freedom. All the rules, laws, and abject oppression of women under the barbarism of Islam are strange to us Western women. Nonie Darwish for 30 years of her life, when she grew up in Gaza . Now she has been a Christian living in USA. This book is a must book for anybody in the west to read. She describes the Sharia laws in details and with many quotations from the Koran and the Ahadith of Mohamed. She clearly shows that a Muslim life is a continuous Gihad, mainly to convert infidels (Christians and Jews ) to Islam. This is achieved by killing, paying Gizia (taxis). They can lie, cheat, kill as long as it is for Allah that is acceptable and well documented in Koran and Mohamed's teaching. She believes that the west is wrong to get these people in and believe they follow our constitution. Every thing in the west, clothing, habits is not accepted in Koran. A muslim can have 4 wives, can beat his wife, can divorce his wife by verbally telling her 3 times "you are divorced", he can have sex slaves. So if they follow there religion where all of these are accepted (Mohamed did all of that). So she asks how can that fit with our values. She concludes that Islam is incompatible with our values and constitution. I highly recommend this book to every American , so you can understand we we are dealing with.

And Nonie Darwish reporting from inside Sharia land, from the actual Sharia prison compared, to which Orwell’s 1984 pales in significance, for Sharia land is the jail where the inmates don’t even know they are caged.Nonie Darwish escaped Sharia Land when she migrated from Egypt to USA 30 years old. She felt for the first time in her life personal freedom, Left Islam and is now an apostate. She was shocked, when she 20 years later heard young American Muslims yearning to introduce Sharia law, and everything she had fled from, in America.
