It's helpful for bringing things to any bride's attention, but I think this book is more geared towards brides dealing with 125+ guests at their wedding. For smaller weddings (under 75 guests) and with lower-maintenance brides, this book is probably overkill. Most of this stuff didn't apply to the small wedding I'm planning, but it did have some sections that brought up great points to ponder (especially the budget section).
This book was OK. A LOT of the stuff in it is common sense unless you're clueless about weddings. If you have a wedding planner of a sort don't bother with this as MOST of the stuff in here is on Pinterest. If you are a person who needs things laid out in front of you, this is a good guide to go along with the use of their website.
Better of with just getting a binder and using Pinterest. There was just too much to read and so many rules to follow.If your super organized and love to read then this is the book for you. Wedding planing is stressful enough... I didn’t need extra work of reading.I tried my hardest to follow the book but I just couldn’t keep up. I relied on my binder I made then anything else.
This may seem unnecessary if you have the planner, but I've found it to be a very handy companion to the planner. It is much more portable and contains some information that I didn't see in the planner. It's also a bit more streamlined, so it's nice to have when you meet with service providers. I highly recommend this book in addition to the planner or even as a stand alone planning guide.
My daughter and I were both very disappointed in the book. We were expecting actual lists of things to do and dates by which they should be done where we could write in the book. We were very disappointed in the product. We purchased two books one for her and one for me and we never use them.
