I think you will enjoy the good-natured ribbing between the characters in each story which will make you smile plus the sexy times is blazing hot. I must admit that it was hard to stop reading and put my kindle down because each story has so many awesome characters. Each heroine nature of The Clan Legacy is wonderfully done. Each hero brings a special talent and personality to each story and their banter is sometimes hilarious. These books will give the readers an around the world tour as each couple travels on their adventure. The Clan Legacy is in the genre of Paranormal romance. It’s an Box set of amazing stories, full of twists, adventures and betrayal. The world building is excellent, with all kinds of shifters, witches and Vampires. I can say I highly recommend this Box set you will enjoy most if not all. It’s a Magnificent READ!

Hang in there Dorothy, because this is an action packed boxed set that will keep you on your toes.The paranormal world is in flux with evil leaders of various factions pushing for dominance. Some are allied, some work on their own, all need to be defeated and usually at great cost.This is a set that you will not be able to put down. J. S. Striker is a fabulous writer and I highly recommend this series.I'm a huge fan and so I offered to ARC for SOME of these books and PURCHASED the ones that were already released.

This complete series includes eleven books, beginning with the dragon clan. Book one, Sebastian, features Robbie Sebastian, the acting head of the dragon clan, and Sophia Gray, a witch working for the vampires. Each of the following books brings the different clans into focus, featuring vampires, witches, and shifters, with a few demons thrown in. The books are entertaining, I liked some more than others, and only one didn't quite meet my expectations. The final book was one of my favorites, however, and ended the series on a high note. I will be reading more by this author.

This is an outstanding set of eleven books full of suspense, action, adventure, and hot and steamy love with interesting story lines that keep you reading from one book to the next. I had already purchased and read quite a few of the set when they first came out, but I went back and re-read the set from the beginning. This series definitely has it all. Characters are appealing stories grab you and suck you in. You can’t put it down. Didn’t want to stop reading but sleep is a necessity if you want to function properly. Stories were that good that I actually considered reading straight through without stopping. Definitely recommend.

When it comes to Japan's larger cities, I've always opted for Tokyo over Osaka...but I have to say, I kind of fell in love with Osaka and it's probably because of some of the places I experienced in this guide. I really only had a few days and mostly hit up the Shopping suggestions, but this guide took me to some fantastic off-the-beaten path places. Since the streets are kind of hard to navigate in Osaka, I really had to rely on the abstract map in the back to find some of these places, but once I got there I was happy. I really enjoyed the old Mitsubishi offices turned boutiques...mysterious, eerie, and Margiela! They also had a really neat architectural bookstore in there that had Japanese copies of Le Corbusier's Modular. I'm kickin' myself for not buying those. I will definitely recommend Osaka over Tokyo to any friends travelling abroad....it's cheaper, has good shopping, and is a hop-skip away from Kyoto!

I am very impressed with Phaidon City Guides ,the images are simply great,And Love the size of the book.It is NOT a travel guide but rather a pic book,with very unique and interesting photos and small bios of locations and/or places to see and go,Planning to keep adding some more to my collection.

I recently purchased two books from this series for a trip to Oslo and Stockholm. I did not find them useful at all and got alot more information from the City websites as well as the Tourist Information booths when I arrived in each city. Even the maps included in the books were not helpful as they were too small. I was not familiar with this series when I purchased the books and could not open them to view them on the Amazon site - maybe that should have deterred me from purchasing them. I would not recommend these at all.

Absolutely useless. Laughable in the way it points you to the ugliest sights in Riga, ignoring the myriad beautiful ones.

Tiny book with pretty graphic design but not so much content. After living in Osaka for 4 months, I found myself visiting ZERO places mentioned in this book.

I ordered this (and unfortunately a few other cities as well) thinking they would be little fit in your pocket type things that would contain helpful information on what to see in each city. What they are is just a heap of stupid artisty type photographs of the inside of hotel rooms, random people's flats, cafes, restaurants, shops, and other things you aren't going to be interested in seeing. There's even a page of a photograph of someone's CD and action figure collection in this Oslo one. Doesn't even have the outsides of any things you would actually go and look at and maybe photograph yourself when walking around Oslo. Nor an even half decent map, on the back cover there is a colour map of Oslo yet most of the street names are missing. So useless to find your hostel or whatever you're looking for. No information on how to get to the airports, especially the far away ones that Ryanair and the budget airlines use. A complete waste of money!

In a nutshell, this book is a combination of "Sanford guide to antimicrobial guide", "Clinical Infectious Disease" and "Educational Review of Manual of Infectious Disease" all in one.In as much this book is perfect for the ID Fellow, the Internal Medicine Resident, Clinical pharmacist as well as the primary care physician would also benefit greatly from this excellent text.

The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the book is clearly written by someone who has not just knowledge of how to use this machine, but a real enthusiasm for it. The fact that its a Kindle book i find really useful as well - I always have my tablet on me, so I can select a recipe - pickup up the ingredients on the way home from the shops, and then get going! I had read Ambercombie's first trilogy and very much enjoyed it. I was a bit iffy about starting this one as from the reviews it was obvious that most of the main characters would not be a part of it. It is set in a different part of the world. I felt I might be a bit disappointed to miss the main characters - which had been quite developed, and worried there would not be a lot of time to have similar quality characters done in what is essentially a stand alone novel.Having said all that, there was no need to worry. He does an excellent job putting together a couple new characters you quickly care about while pulling in a bunch of secondary character from the first trilogy. The fact that it is relatively a stand alone novel means it is very fast paced - actually I respect the author in not trying to pull this story out into another trilogy which he could have easily done. Definitly an enjoyable read that I would highly recommend and I look forward to reading the later books in this world.

I recommend the audible version of this epic novel narrated by Steven Pacey as an absolute must if you enjoy books on audio. I have yet to find any other narrator that brings a story to life with such authenticity. His timing is right, his emphasis, tones, and the voices are all unique, for each character! He is not reading a book, as so many others do, he is performing it. And that is the reason I made it more than part way through this book. Which is not to say the book isn't well written, because it definitely is. It is, however, bleak, full of gore in fully descriptive detail, and literally nearly every character is a murderer with few redeeming qualities. The author is relentless, does not take it easy on the 'audience' or the characters, and the plot can seem somewhat slow. Even listening, I was 2/3 through and wondering what on earth the point was. Thinking I had never before read a book where I found it hard to in some way relate to, root for, or like any of the characters very much. If you're like me, and have never read anything by Abercrombie to know his style, or have never read a story so incessantly dark and bloody, and you try to read it yourself rather than listen to Pacey's excellent performance, you just might quit before it's done. And that, as I found out, would be a mistake. By the time it was done, I WAS caring about and rooting for the characters. In a very human and realistic sort of way. Because this story is not pretty, and neither are the people in it. But I was able to grow to appreciate a book unlike any other I've ever experienced. The author is masterful with his twists and the subtleties in his crafting allow the story to build and grow over time in a way that sucks you in slowly and doesn't spoon feed you. It is also sprinkled throughout with humor that had me chuckling or barking out laughter.I have since started Joe Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy with The Blade Itself on audible and am finding it just as awesome. Without any reservations I can say that this book is, thus far, my absolute favorite audible experience, and one I highly recommend!

Well, this was a hell of a ride. Maybe I'm just a sucker for a well told revenge story.I've come to expect greatness from Mr. Abercrombie after recently finishing his First Law trilogy. Best Served Cold, the first of three books set in the world of the First Law, met that expectation and perhaps went a bit further. His writing is tight, his pace breakneck, his characters memorable, all that I came to love about his first trilogy is back in force.Sitting back after reading this one, and reminiscing on the first trilogy, I'm left with two main thoughts. First is this. Joe will not give you what you want. He will make you want things. You will want a certain character to do X, but have a fear that they will do Y, and Joe will laugh and make them do Z. Leave what you want behind and enjoy the ride. The second is rather bleak, and it is this; if you try to change someone for the better, more often than not they'll change for the worse. Horrible right? But interesting to watch.If you've not read it, I recommend it. I think that you could even read this one without having read the First Law, though you'd miss knowledge of plenty secondary situations and characters. I'll be diving into The Heroes very soon.

I find myself always in an awkward position when trying to review a book. Always too much time has passed since reading. But to say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and series would be an understatement. I had heard of Joe Abercrombie and had planned on reading his books for many years, but never got around to doing it. There was always another book from my growing list of authors to read. I've read gifted writers, and Abercrombie ranks as one of the very best! Recently, I've been reading and listening to the audible narration, and if you haven't done that, I wholly recommend it. I don't remember ever being so entertained by both the writing of Abercrombie and the narration of Steve Pacey; had me trembling with excitement and shock while at the same time laughing out loud. I really can't give the author and this series enough stars.

The book repeats what all the other atheist books have been saying for over a decade (or longer) now. If you are new to the atheist/christian argument, then this book would be a good starting point I guess. If you have read all the other atheist books previously published then you won't find any new ground here. It's also long winded at certain points and left me thinking that the author should just get to his point. I am an ex-christian, so this is NOT a christian troll giving this book a thumbs down. After all, how many times can the bible/christianity be debunked before the reader has heard it all? That seems to be the case with the books that are still being released by atheists today. They are just retreading familiar ground/arguments and pointing out all the same problems with the bible that most of the public is already aware of.

The author makes some strong arguments, including a few I hadn't read or considered before. The editing/proofreading is very weak which weakens the readability.

This book was good and addressed some topics I haven't seen addressed elsewhere, but it had an awful lot of typographical errors which were quite distracting. It badly needs to have the errors fixed, and then it will be a really super good book. But overall, I enjoyed the book.

I was stunned at first when I saw the cover, then I read the free sample. The author makes a very compelling case, thorough research must have gone into this because I checked my Bibles for every single quoted Bible verse, and it is accurate. Up until about a third of the way through the book I was a believer...I once was lost, but now I'm foundWas blind but now I seeTwaz grace that taught my heart to fearI finished reading the book and now I feel set free from a terrible bondage, I feel sick... the years I lost to following blindly... if only I had read the whole Bible with my eyes open sooner.

Well organized, and the arguments are intelligent and thoughtful. This is really a four or five star book pulled down a rank or two by wobbly syntax. I’d still recommend the book, in any case. It’s got something important to say, and bar the odd awkwardly constructed sentence, it says it effectively.
