About the Author
Susan Branch was born in Southern California but calls her 1849 home on the Massachusetts island of Martha's Vineyard her "heart magnet" because she was drawn to New England from childhood and loved it before she laid eyes on it. She finally moved there in her early 30's, no longer "able to live without four seasons and white picket fences as everyday architecture." She is the oldest of eight children and inspired by "almost everything." The cover of this book is soft and padded which adds to the overall quality of it. The questions are interesting and things I never would of thought of asking. Things like their first job, their first boyfriends and such. Things I ashamedly do not know about my grandmother.I purchased 3 of these books. 2 for each of my sons grandmas and 1 for my own grandmother. I hope they actually fill them out.I would highly recommend this book to my friends and family. I think it's high quality and interesting. The questions are engaging and there is sufficient space to write answers. The pages are really thick and it looks like it will last throughout the years so I have no fear passing it down through the family.
My daughter is 5 months old and I got this book for my mother in law as a Christmas gift. Since this is her first grandchild I thought this book would be great for her to write about herself growing up. I flipped through the book with my mother and watched her smile at the questions and now I'm upset I didn't get a book for her as well. (I will be ordering another) I'm looking forward to reading about my mother in laws life and know this is something my daughter will cherish as she grows up. This is a nice hard bound book with a almost puffy cover. It's 124 pages and it guides you with questions about "grandmas" life. It has a pink ribbon bookmark so you can easily find where you left off. This would make a great gift for any grandmother.
I absolutely love this memory book. I wanted a book to be able to leave a detailed account of my life for my grand children and future grand children. This book allows you to write on a variety of subjects and put it into your own words. There is ample space to write and some places for pictures. The book is hardcover and beautifully designed. I began writing in it right away.
This product is such a wonderful idea. My grandma means the world to me, and now we can fill this out together.It asks so many questions you wouldn't think to ask your grandma. Some silly questions like "what's your favorite food addiction?" And "tell me about your first date". Or more serious questions like "what did you want to be when you grew up?" And "tell me about your religious upbringing". There is even an area in the back for her to write down even more memories and stories to share. My grandma has 10 children, 24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren (and counting) and 1 great great grand child (and counting) therefore everyone in my family will enjoy reading this book when she passing away (in another 100 years).The only thing I honestly don't like about the book is the size. I wish it was a little smaller, so it would be easier to carry around. Some questions will have a short answer, so the extra lines seem unnecessary.I do believe this is a great product and my family will treasure it for years to come!
This book was nice and had good prompts along with plenty of space to write including extra pages in the back. Book is fairly large but my grandma is more elderly so I think it is actually better. My only wish is that it had illustrations/quotes or room for pictures because it quickly gets super text heavy and is not visually broken up into "chapters" of life.
I bought this for my mom for her birthday for her to fill out for me and my kids. It gives so many writing prompts for her to write about her life and there is plenty of space for answers. It's great because she's really having to dig deep to think of things to write, and that's what you want, all of the details, as if she were there telling you the story herself. She is able to write our family a little piece of her legacy.

I purchased three of these for my kids to give to my mother. It is a really sweet way for a grandmother to share her story with her grandchildren. I really wanted each of them to have their own, with personal stories from my mom to them. The book is of good quality, not cheap looking, and would be an excellent gift for a grandmother. Now if I can get my mom to actually fill it out....
